Overview
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the KagiBag mobile application (the "App") operated by KagiBag ("we," "our," or "us").
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
1. Description of Service
KagiBag is an event companion app that allows you to:
- View and manage your event tickets
- Scan QR codes to connect with other event attendees
- Browse event schedules and speaker information
- Manage your professional connections made at events
2. Account and Authentication
2.1 Account Requirement
You must have a valid KagiBag account to use the App. Accounts are created through the KagiBag website (kagibag.com).
2.2 Authentication
The App uses OAuth 2.0 browser-based authentication. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your device and account credentials.
2.3 Account Security
You agree to:
- Keep your login credentials confidential
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
- Accept responsibility for all activity that occurs under your account
3. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Scan QR codes without the ticket holder's consent
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users through the App
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
- Use the App to collect personal information about other users without their consent
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Interfere with or disrupt the App or its servers
4. User Content
4.1 Connection Notes and Tags
You may add notes and tags to your connections. You are solely responsible for the content of your notes.
4.2 Profile Information
You are responsible for ensuring that your profile information is accurate and does not infringe on the rights of others.
5. Intellectual Property
5.1 Our Property
The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by KagiBag and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
5.2 Your Content
You retain ownership of any content you create within the App (such as connection notes). By using the App, you grant us a limited license to store and display this content as necessary to provide the service.
6. Privacy
Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand our practices regarding your personal data.
7. Event Tickets
7.1 Ticket Display
The App displays tickets purchased through KagiBag. The App is not a ticket sales platform.
7.2 QR Codes
Ticket QR codes displayed in the App are time-limited and will refresh periodically. You must have an active internet connection to refresh your QR codes.
7.3 Check-In
The App displays your check-in status but does not control event entry. Event organizers have final authority over admission.
8. Connections
8.1 Mutual Consent
Connections are made by scanning another attendee's QR code. Both parties should consent to the connection.
8.2 Visibility
Your profile visibility settings control what information connected users can see about you. You are responsible for configuring your visibility preferences.
9. Disclaimers
9.1 "As Is" Service
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
9.2 No Guarantee
We do not guarantee that the App will be available at all times, uninterrupted, or error-free. QR code scanning and connections depend on network availability and event infrastructure.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, KagiBag shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the App, including but not limited to:
- Inability to access event venues due to technical issues
- Loss of connection data
- Unauthorized access to your account
11. Modifications to the Service
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation.
12. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
13. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or us.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law, without regard to conflict of law principles.
