KagiBag ("we," "our," or "us") operates the KagiBag mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.
By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you sign in to KagiBag, we receive the following information from your KagiBag account:
- Name
- Email address
- Job title
- Company name
- Bio
- Phone number
- Social media links
- Profile photo
1.2 Device Information
When you authenticate, we collect:
- Device name — used to identify the device associated with your login session
- Device platform — iOS or Android
1.3 Authentication Data
We use OAuth 2.0 for authentication. Your password is never stored in the App. A secure authentication token (JWT) is stored locally on your device using the operating system's encrypted storage (iOS Keychain via Secure Store).
1.4 Camera Data
The App accesses your device camera solely to scan QR codes for connecting with other event attendees. Images captured by the camera are processed locally on your device and are not stored or transmitted.
1.5 Biometric Data
If your device supports Face ID or Touch ID, the App may use biometric authentication to secure access to your stored authentication token. Biometric data is handled entirely by the operating system and is never accessed or stored by the App.
1.6 Connection Data
When you connect with other attendees by scanning their QR code, the App stores:
- The connection relationship between you and the other attendee
- Tags you assign to connections (e.g., "Follow Up," "Met at Talk")
- Notes you add about connections
1.7 Event Data
The App accesses event information associated with your tickets, including:
- Event names, dates, and schedules
- Speaker information
- Ticket details and check-in status
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Authenticate you and maintain your session
- Display your event tickets and QR codes
- Facilitate connections with other event attendees
- Display event schedules and speaker information
- Show your profile to users you connect with (subject to your visibility settings)
3. Information Sharing and Disclosure
3.1 With Other Users
When you connect with another attendee via QR code scanning, they may see your profile information based on your profile visibility setting:
- Public — All users can see your profile
- Connections — Only users you have connected with can see your profile
- Private — Your profile is hidden from other users
3.2 With Service Providers
We may share information with third-party service providers who assist us in operating the App, solely to the extent necessary for them to perform their services.
3.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities.
4. Data Storage and Security
- Authentication tokens are stored using your device's encrypted secure storage (iOS Keychain)
- All communication between the App and our servers uses HTTPS encryption
- We do not store your password in the App
- Camera images are processed on-device and never transmitted to our servers
5. Data Retention
Your account data is retained for as long as you maintain an active account. Connection data and notes are retained until you delete them or delete your account.

6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal data through your profile in the App
- Update your profile information at any time
- Control your profile visibility (public, connections only, or private)
- Delete your connections and notes
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data
7. Children's Privacy
The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
8. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:
- Expo — App development and distribution platform
- Expo Secure Store — Secure local storage (uses iOS Keychain)
These services have their own privacy policies governing their use of your data.
9. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
